Southeast Texas Search and Rescue (SETSAR) does not self-deploy; we will only respond by agency request. SETSAR is an all-volunteer search and rescue organization that is here and ready to assist local and county municipal agencies in various search, rescue, and recovery operations throughout Southeast Texas. Many of our team members are former and active law enforcement officers, firefighters, and medical personnel, available 24/7, 365 days a year, at no cost to the requesting agency.
SETSAR ground operations and specialized teams are available for callouts beginning June 5, 2026. SETSAR operates within the Emergency Management System (EMS) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS). If your agency is in need of our services and you meet the criteria listed below, we are here to help.
If your agency already has a response agreement in place, call the emergency response number on the top of the agreement. If your agency does not have a response agreement in place, please provide the following information, and a SETSAR representative will contact you.
